Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 361 reviews.

I’m a manager at a tire shop and let me tell you I deal with people all the time. This pipe is way better than I thought and I expected it to be nice. Very good and convenient. Quick smoke and extremely high quality. Make sure you buy the maintenance kit with the extra Screens and o rings. Also it doesn’t smell in your pocket after you ripped One. Smell proof!

Customer photo review of Pirate Pipe Aluminum One Hitter Dugout | Sealed Travel Smoking Kit

Would buy again. In fact I am. Father’s Day gifts. 1. The delrin rod is not going to break. If you feel the need to exercise caution, then simply put your thumb on top and cushion the pop. 2. Whoever said the bat get extra hot. “You got soft hands brother”. 3. Screens easy install. This I was concerned with, but it’s so easy. 4. My only gripe is that the lighters don’t fit tighter. However I believe a piece of tape or two would help so that’s probably what I’ll do. 5. Chamber on bat is large. Good for 2-4 hits depending on size of draw. 6. Internal flower chamber is MASSIVE. 10/10. Buy this. You won’t regret it.

Store owner replied: Thanks so much for the detailed review — this is exactly the kind of feedback we love to hear. Glad to hear the Delrin rod, screen install, chamber size, and overall build are hitting the mark. The “soft hands, brother” line gave us a laugh too. We also appreciate the honest note about the lighter fit. That’s useful feedback, and we’ll keep it in mind as we continue improving the design. A small piece of tape as a snug-fit adjustment is a solid workaround in the meantime. Also, don’t forget to check the bottom storage compartment — we’ve included extra grommets and seals for you. Hope the Father’s Day gifts are a hit. We really appreciate the support and the 10/10!

You don't see too many products built to last anymore. The Pirate Pipe is pretty impressive, perfect for someone always on the move. Everything you need in one compact package!

This is a great product, but I wish there was a better user instruction besides some chick walking down the street. What is the extra spring for? Other things for? Does the pipe go up or down?

Pirate Pipe Aluminum One Hitter Dugout | Sealed Travel Smoking Kit

Store owner replied: Thank you for the thoughtful feedback — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share it. You’re absolutely right — clear instructions matter. We’re currently refining our user guides to ensure everything is intuitive, direct, and easy to follow. The pipe goes up! To clarify: • The extra spring is included as a replacement. It’s there in case the original spring wears over time or is accidentally lost during cleaning. Depending on your version, you may also find additional components beneath the bottom seal, including spare seals, lighter plugs, and 10 replacement screens. The small circular chamber is designed specifically to store those extra screens securely. • During use, insert the pipe with the bowl end facing upward. A helpful tip: if you don’t finish your session, simply return the pipe to its chamber and close it. The airtight design will safely extinguish it within moments. If anything ever feels unclear, we’re always here to help. Thank you again for your support — and smooth sailing. — The Willem David Crew

I can tell it’s built for regular use, not just for looks.

Store owner replied: That’s exactly the goal — everything in one compact, purpose-built setup. We design our systems to eliminate clutter and keep your essentials organized, secure, and ready when you are. Appreciate you noticing the intention behind it. — Willem David Crew

The pirate pipe has opened up a lot of doors for me. I am able to get a little stoney before getting groceries or anything else really! I dont feel comfortable carrying a big stinky pipe around so this is perfect! The pipe system itself will contain all of the smell and the only thing left smelling is the environment where I smoked at. So be careful where you light up! I did order over the 2025 holidays so there must have been a mix up between the celebration and part of my order wasn’t included but I was able to reach out to the support (via website at the bottom right chat window) after a week or so and got my funnel. Do note the calypso teeth are rounded rather than sharp like they have it on the default bats, this was done on purpose but I kinda wish there was an option for the sharp teeth because I occasionally get some product clinging to the sides of the calypso pipe. They also included a neat little keychain for free! (In the initial package) its a mini pipe, bottle opener, as well as a soda tab puller. I kinda wish more of the products came with instructions because the funnel COMES with a storage system that also holds the funnel but it’s entirely reliant on rubber seal via friction. Over all I definitely don’t regret buying one and would totally do it again with the smaller version! Thanks again team

Very happy with the purchase. I have a number of "gadgets" and this is my new favorite. Minimal flower needed since this is very effecient. Would like to try the Calypso with it. Not sure it would be much different than the standard pipe that comes with this dugout.

Store owner replied: Thank you for sailing back with such a great review — we’re honored this became your new favorite among the gadgets in your collection. ⚓🔥 You’re absolutely right about the efficiency: the system is designed to get the most out of a small pinch of flower, and it sounds like you’ve already dialed it in perfectly. As for pairing it with the Calypso, many of our crew swear by that combo. The Calypso keeps the hits cleaner and smoother with its washable Flame Stitch filter — especially noticeable if you enjoy longer sessions or want to cut down on harshness. Its also very easy to clean out with the twist to eject. Either way, we’re grateful to have you aboard and stoked that the dugout has earned a spot in your rotation. 🙌‍☠️

I have been enjoying weed for 40 years. I have had 100s of different dugout type smoking devices. This is the Cadillac of them all. They thought of everything with this device and nailed it. Buy one and you will have no regrets.

Store owner replied: Thanks for the great feedback — we’re glad you love it! We agree, those aromatic herb oils can be tough to fully contain. While we design for maximum scent resistance, those natural oils have a way of sneaking through just a bit. Still, it’s built to stay as clean and discreet as possible. — The Willem David Crew

Store owner replied: Thanks for letting us know — it can happen, especially if the dugout is turned upside down. We do offer extra springs in our Maintenance Kit, and sometimes a spring can get a bit of material in it and gum up over time. We’ll make sure you’re taken care of. — The Willem David Crew

The Pirate Pipe is by far the best dugout I’ve ever used—it’s sleek, smell-proof, keeps everything fresh, and is built to last. Adding the Calypso takes it to the next level, cutting out the tar from your lungs while still giving you an all-in-one setup for under $100. On top of that, their customer service is outstanding and always a pleasure to deal with. I’m really impressed with both the product and the company.

I really enjoy the fact that I can keep all of my smoking gear in one little package and it doesn’t have an obvious smell. One gripe is that herb can tend to “gum” up in the tube with no easy way to extract it. Otherwise, love it!

Pirate Pipe Aluminum One Hitter Dugout | Sealed Travel Smoking Kit

Store owner replied: Thank you for the thoughtful feedback — we’re glad you’re enjoying the convenience and low-odor design. We agree, depending on the material, it can sometimes pack tightly at the bottom and be tricky to grab that last bit — that’s why we’ve added aggressive teeth on our pipes to help break it up. The Albatross, with its cone-shaped bowl and lighter teeth pattern, can be a bit more prone to it. Tip: To keep it fresh, a long flat screwdriver works great to loosen that last bit before you reload. — The Willem David Crew

I bought the Pirate Pipe, the Pearl and the Calypso. All 3 are fantastic. My life and job necessitate a discrete way to enjoy a smoke. These products excel at providing that, especially the Pearl. The addition of magnets to the latter really adds to the functionality and stealthiness of the dugout. Everything is well built and feels great in the hands. Ordering a couple Albatross bats next and plan on buying more dugouts as gifts for my homies.

The Pirate Pipe dugout is well built. I love the durability, water and scent resistance, and utility of the lighter and extra storage sections for an everyday carry dugout. Can't go wrong with the included bat, and I recommend getting the package deal that adds the Albatross ceramic bat for an even smoother experience.

The overall build quality and thoughtfulness of this is awesome. only drawback - it's not light, i have a wood one, and you'd barely notice it's there. The size of the "one hit" is more like 2 hits, I upgraded the bat to the calypso, it's a really nice tool, easy to clean and easy to use. 10/10
